VeChain seems to gain more and more ground in the supply chain management industry. Besides the development of digital healthcare passports, support of farmers from Latin America in cooperation with Producers Market or the traceability of wine, premium pork products are now to be made fully traceable with the help of the VeChain blockchain. This is announced by VeChain in a blog post of today, 6 June 2020.

VeChain ToolChain™ Technology for Traceability Platform

VeChain is one of the crypto-projects which has been able to build up many partnerships in the last few years and is therefore rightfully in 27th place of all cryptocurrencies with a market capitalization of almost $400 million USD.

After three Italian wine producers have already relied on VeChain and its blockchain technology to provide customers with complete traceability of their wine production, a food producer from China will now also take advantage of these benefits. Shenzhen Yuhongtai Foods Co Ltd, a producer of premium pork products, has announced that it will integrate VeChain ToolChain™ technology for its traceability platform.

According to the company, the company’s pigs are raised on 108 different products including corn, soybeans and other agricultural products. The producer also guarantees that the products are always sold on the same day and therefore only fresh meat is sold.

With the integration of the new technology, these claims are now to be verified by the blockchain. The QR code on the packaging can be scanned by customers with a smartphone. The company can store information such as origin, logistics information, day of production and marketing information.
